Obituary for John Duane Riley

John Duane Riley, age 69, of Cambridge House in Hildebran went home to be with his Lord and Savior on June 24, 2016 at Carolina Rehab in Icard. He was born November 11, 1946, son of the late William Jake Riley and Francis Lucy Lail Riley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister Helen Church.

John was of the Baptist faith.

Mr. Riley is survived by one daughter, Denise Lail and husband Eric of Vale; two sons, Duane Riley and wife Valesia of Hickory and Randy Riley and wife Traci of Florence, SC.

Also surviving are grandchildren, Eric Wilson, Matthew Riley, Brittney Baynard and husband Dana, Haleigh Riley and McKinley Riley.

Mr. Riley is survived by three brothers and one sister, Harvey Riley and wife Barbara of Hickory, Jim Riley and wife Mert of Newton, Jerry Riley and wife Denise of Lenoir and Gail Lail and husband Johnny of Conover.

The family will receive friends Monday, June 27 from 6:00-7:30 at Mackie Funeral Home. The Service and Burial will be private.

The family asks that memorials be made to Catawba Regional Hospice, 3975 Robinson Rd.
Hickory, NC 28658 and that there be no flowers.
