Obituary for Barbara Price (Sherrill)

Barbara Sherrill Price, 64 of Salisbury passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at her home surrounded by family.

Born July 2, 1952 in Granite Falls she was the daughter of the late J. V. and Margaret Woosley Sherrill.

Mrs. Price was educated in the Granite Falls schools and graduated from Granite Falls High School and Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte.

She was a Registered Nurse and was employed with Carolinas Medical Center – Main in Charlotte and Kaiser Permanente.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Jeffrey Price on May 21, 2012.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Amanda Harborth of Mooresville and Jenna Carnell-Boone (Robert Johnson) of Concord; son, Derek Scott Price of Wilmington; grandchildren, Jessica, Jordan, Madison, Colton, Ashlyn and Savannah; and great-grandchildren, Jaden and Jeremiah.

The family will meet at 1:30 PM Sunday (Jan. 15) at Mackie Funeral Home, 35 Duke Street, Granite Falls, NC 28630

Graveside service will be conducted 2 PM Sunday at Pinecrest Cemetery, Granite Falls with the Rev. Howard Fleming, Minister of the First United Methodist Church of Granite
Falls presiding.

The family will be gathering at the family home in Salisbury following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to ASPCA (www.aspca.org) and American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org)
