Ronald "Ogre" Hudson, age 67, of Granite Falls went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, September 11, 2017, at his son’s residence in Hickory, NC. He was born January 17, 1950, son of Ruth Irene Veit Hudson and the late Jack Carson Hudson.

In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his grandfathers, grandmothers, one niece, Anna Radlovacki.

In addition to his mother, those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Anne Marie Cassidy Hudson of the home; three daughters Kimberley Pena and husband Armando of Wilmington, NC, Kelli Precup and husband Ron of Arlington, VA and Colleen Reeves and husband Travis of Naples, FL; three sons, David Hudson of Hickory, Jason Hudson of Hickory and Kristofor Hudson of Granite Falls; five brothers, Robert Hudson of Vincent AL, Richard Hudson and wife Janice of Newtown, PA, Randal Hudson and wife Diane of Cinnaminson, NJ, Russell Hudson and Jay Hudson both of Winterhaven, FL; two sisters Jill Rogers and husband Ken, Lori Hudson all of Winterhaven, FL; two grandsons, Jeremy Pena of Raleigh, NC and Nicholas Pena of Lenoir, NC; five granddaughters, Ashleigh Hudson and Brytny Hudson of Hickory, Samantha Pena and Courtney Pena of Wilmington, NC, Arcadia Precup of Arlington, VA; two great-granddaughters, Aryahna and Astra Hudson; sister-in-law Patricia Radlovacki and husband Roy of Marco Island, FL; step-grandmother, Marisela Veit of Miami, FL; a number of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

A special thanks to Catawba County Hospice and the family requests memorials be made to Palliative Care Center and Hospice of Catawba Valley, 3975 Robinson Road, Newton, NC 28658.

Services will be private per Mr. Hudson’s request.
